There aren't words enough to express how proud I am of this child. Kelsie was the only person nominated from our state to apply to be on the National 4-H Technology Team. She made a webpage that detailed all of her technology abilities and training. She made it!!
She went to a team training in Nebraska in February. This month she is off to Washington, D.C. as a member of the National Tech Team. They went to do TECHY stuff! Among other things, she ran the spotlights at the assemblies and she co-taught a class on GPS.

Besides what the state and the tech team paid, she had to raise $600.00 to go on this trip. We spent 3 afternoons after school getting donors to help sponsor her. A local computer store gave her $300.00. He said "it was good to see a woman in technology."
There were 3 other kids from our county that went. They had to apply and interview as well. IT was good that there were other kids from our county there. She got to know the other kids from our state real well . While they were there they were able to meet with the Congressmen from our state at the Capitol Building. They all took time to meet with the kids and answer their questions.
THe Utah delegation was able to stay a few extra days to do some sight seeing. THe 4-H center let them stay there inexpensively for a few days. They went to Lincoln Memorial, THe WW II and the Vietnam Memorials, Arlington national Cemetery, The Air and Space Museum. They seen the White House.
